Are you a gifted preacher, experienced ministry leader, and technically skilled team builder with a passion for reaching people for Christ?

Springs Outdoor Church is seeking an Associate Pastor who can preach God's Word, strengthen ministry teams, and help lead our church into an exciting new chapter.

We are looking for a collaborative leader who can work alongside our Lead Pastor, existing worship leader, and ministry staff to develop strong worship and production teams while supporting the overall vision of the church.

About Springs Outdoor Church

Located in beautiful Bonita Springs, Florida, Springs Outdoor Church is a growing, vibrant, nontraditional Christian church with a heart for reaching people who might not otherwise attend church.

Founded in 2011, our church has developed a unique outdoor worship experience centered on biblical teaching, authentic worship, meaningful relationships, and sharing the love of Jesus with our community.

We are entering one of the most exciting seasons in our church's history!

We are currently constructing a new covered worship pavilion that will seat 600 people under the pavilion, with additional outdoor seating for 400—providing a total capacity of approximately 1,000 worshipers.

The new facility will feature a dedicated stage, LED video wall, production room, and enhanced audiovisual capabilities designed to support dynamic worship experiences and expanded ministry opportunities.

As we transition into this new space, we are seeking an Associate Pastor who can help develop the people, systems, and technical capabilities needed to support this next season of ministry.

Key Responsibilities

Preaching & Pastoral Leadership

- Preach engaging, biblically sound, Spirit-led messages occasionally as scheduled.

- Work alongside the Lead Pastor in supporting the spiritual direction and vision of the church.

- Assist with pastoral care, discipleship, ministry events, and congregational needs.

- Demonstrate strong leadership while maintaining a humble, servant-hearted approach.

Worship Ministry Collaboration

- Work alongside our existing worship leader, providing leadership, encouragement, and support rather than replacing the current leadership structure.

- Help recruit, train, mentor, and develop musicians, vocalists, and worship volunteers.

- Assist in building a strong, unified worship ministry characterized by spiritual maturity and excellence.

- Collaborate on worship planning, rehearsals, service flow, and special events.

- Encourage teamwork, creativity, and continued growth among worship team members.

Technical & Production Leadership

- Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of the church's audio, video, and production ministries.

- Demonstrate proficiency in live sound mixing, Multitracks, video production, and ProPresenter.

- Recruit, train, schedule, and develop volunteer sound, video, lighting, and presentation teams.

- Oversee the effective use of sound systems, microphones, mixers, cameras, video displays, and presentation software.

- Help establish efficient production workflows for Sunday services, special events, and livestreaming.

- Troubleshoot technical challenges and maintain a high standard of production quality.

- Assist in planning, implementing, and optimizing audiovisual systems for the new worship pavilion.

- Work collaboratively with worship and media leadership to ensure smooth, distraction-free worship experiences.

Team Building & Staff Collaboration

- Work closely with current pastors, staff, and ministry leaders to accomplish shared goals.

- Strengthen existing ministries without unnecessarily changing established leadership structures.

- Identify, recruit, and develop volunteers, empowering others to use their gifts in ministry.

- Participate in ministry planning, leadership meetings, and church-wide initiatives.

- Help establish effective systems and processes as the church continues to grow.

Qualifications

Required

- A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to pastoral ministry.

- Demonstrated experience preaching and communicating biblical truth effectively.

- Experience in worship ministry and developing ministry teams.

- Practical, hands-on proficiency with live sound, video and production systems.

- Ability to lead and train technical production volunteers.

- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Willingness to work collaboratively with existing staff and leadership.

- Flexibility and adaptability within a growing, nontraditional church environment.

Preferred

- Experience in pastoral leadership or an associate pastor role.

- Musical ability and familiarity with contemporary worship.

- Experience with livestreaming, camera operation, video switching, and digital audio consoles.

- Experience helping a church expand, transition facilities, or develop new ministry systems.

- Biblical education or formal ministry training.

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who can preach on an occasional Sunday, mentor a worship team, train a sound technician, troubleshoot tech, and collaborate with fellow staff members—all with a servant's heart.

We are not looking for someone to take over existing ministries. We are looking for someone who will come alongside our team, build relationships, develop leaders, and help take our worship and production ministries to the next level.

This individual should be equally comfortable ministering to people and working behind the scenes to make ministry happen.

Position Details

Location: Bonita Springs, Florida

Employment: Full-Time or Part-Time, depending on experience, qualifications, and ministry availability.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience and agreed-upon responsibilities.

Schedule: Sunday services, designated rehearsals, staff meetings, and additional ministry activities as appropriate to the position.
