Job Description:

Salem Bible Church

Salem Bible Church is a Bible-centered, nondenominational church in Macungie,

Pennsylvania. For generations, Salem has taught God’s Word, proclaimed the Gospel,

and provided a church home where believers worship, grow, serve, and care for one

another.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for faith and life.

We glorify God through biblical teaching, Gospel-centered worship, spiritual growth,

mutual care, evangelism, and missions.

Salem Bible Church and Salem Christian School share a campus and a healthy,

longstanding partnership. As the church’s largest ministry, the school advances biblical

education and serves children, students, and families throughout the greater Lehigh

Valley.

Church Life and Ministry

God’s Word is central to our church. We pursue worship and ministry that produce

obedience, Christlike maturity, loving fellowship, and service. We strengthen families,

invest in the next generation, equip believers to use their gifts, and encourage members

to live as Christ’s ambassadors.

Our Next Lead Pastor

We seek a faithful shepherd and teacher committed to our Statement of Faith and

biblical positions. He should understand the responsibilities of serving an independent,

self-governing church, work collaboratively with the Board of Elders and other ministry

leaders, and provide clear spiritual direction.

We seek a pastor who will:

• Faithfully preach Scripture and proclaim the Gospel.

• Shepherd the congregation and foster Christlike maturity.

• Equip believers for ministry, evangelism, and missions.

• Invest in families and future generations.

• Collaborate with church leaders, ministry teams, and Salem Christian School.

• Protect the church’s integrity while leading with wisdom, humility, and a heart for

the community.Preferred Qualifications and Experience

The following qualifications and experience are strongly preferred but not

required:

A seminary or theology degree.

At least 7 years of pastoral ministry experience.

At least 3 years of experience serving as a lead pastor.

At least 3 years of experience leading a church with more than 450 attenders.

We recognize that God equips and calls pastors through a variety of backgrounds and

ministry experiences. While these qualifications are highly valued, we will give careful

consideration to candidates whose character, theological convictions, pastoral

experience, leadership ability, and calling align strongly with the needs and mission of

Salem Bible Church.

We seek a pastor who will stand firmly on Salem’s biblical foundation while helping the

church fulfill its mission: worshiping God, proclaiming the Gospel, strengthening

believers and families, and serving the community for Christ’s glory.
