We're looking for a relational, energetic, and spiritually mature leader who loves students and is excited about building a thriving ministry.
The Opportunity
We're not simply looking for someone to maintain a youth program. We're looking for a builder—someone who can create an environment where students belong, encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and invite their friends to experience the same.
Our Director of Student Life will provide leadership for students in grades 6–12, develop meaningful relationships with students and families, and build a team of volunteers who share a passion for reaching the next generation.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of Student Life at CompassLife while serving alongside a supportive pastoral team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and Grow: Develop engaging weekly student gatherings, small groups, worship experiences, and discipleship opportunities.
Build Relationships: Invest personally in students and partner with parents to encourage spiritual growth.
Reach the Community: Build relationships with local schools, FCA, athletic programs, and community organizations to connect with students beyond the church.
Develop Leaders: Recruit, train, and empower adult volunteers and student leaders to build a healthy, sustainable ministry.
Create Opportunities: Coordinate camps, retreats, missions, service projects, and special events.
Make Disciples: Help students take meaningful steps toward following Jesus, baptism, serving, and becoming lifelong disciples.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
Has a growing relationship with Jesus and a clear calling to student ministry.
Genuinely loves teenagers and enjoys building relationships with students and families.
Is a self-starter with the creativity and initiative to build and grow a ministry.
Communicates biblical truth in engaging and relevant ways.
Can recruit, encourage, and develop volunteer leaders.
Is organized, dependable, teachable, and works well with others.
Aligns with the mission, values, and biblical convictions of CompassLife Church.
A degree in ministry or a related field is preferred, along with previous experience working with students. However, we recognize that effective ministry begins with a genuine calling from God. Above all, we value strong Christian character, a heart for students, demonstrated leadership potential, and a teachable spirit with a desire to continually grow personally, spiritually, and professionally.
