  1. Champion the church's mission, values, and Statement of Faith in all areas of ministry and communication.

Lead and Develop Staff

  1. Provide direct oversight and leadership through the Executive Pastor to all church staff, delegating operational responsibilities as appropriate.

  2. Work collaboratively with the Executive Pastor to maximize the gifting of each team member.

Shepherd the Congregation

  1. Provide personal pastoral care through visitation, counseling, and availability to the congregation as appropriate.

  1. Develop and oversee a congregational care team to extend the reach of pastoral care throughout the church family.

  1. Provide or oversee pre-marital counseling by qualified staff or lay leaders.

  2. Officiate or oversee the administration of baptism, the Lord's Supper, weddings, funerals, and other pastoral responsibilities.

Advance Discipleship and Outreach

  1. Oversee the development and implementation of disciple-making ministries that move people along a clear spiritual formation pathway.

  1. Cultivate a culture of evangelism within the congregation, holding staff and lay leaders accountable for outreach goals.

  1. Champion LMBC's engagement with the local Mat-Su community, supporting outreach events and missions partnerships.

  1. Work in partnership with the Executive Pastor to ensure ministries across all departments serve the church's evangelism and discipleship mission.

Oversee Financial and Administrative Health

  1. Collaborate with Elders, staff and lay-leaders in developing and presenting the annual financial plan to the Board of Elders.

  1. Ensure financial activities remain within the boundaries established by the Board of Elders and are consistent with the church's Constitution and Bylaws.

  1. Keep the Elder Board informed and supported, ensuring it is never without the information needed to lead effectively.
