Job Description:
Red Cedar Church, a growing Wesleyan congregation in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, is seeking a full-time Youth and Young Adult Pastor to provide visionary leadership for one of its largest and most strategic ministries.
With more than 100 middle and high school students already engaged, an 8 percent attendance increase in overall church attendance in the past twelve months, and a congregation deeply committed to the next generation, this ministry is positioned for significant Kingdom impact. Red Cedar is not looking for a program manager; the church is looking for a builder.
The Youth and Young Adult Pastor will report to the Family Pastor and carry responsibility for vision, culture, systems, and leadership development across both the youth and young adults ministries.
Core responsibilities include:
Developing intentional disciple-making pathways
Cultivating an outward-focused ministry that actively reaches students far from God
Recruiting and developing adult volunteers and student leaders
Teaching Scripture with theological depth and practical relevance
Partnering with parents as primary spiritual influences
Building a thriving Young Adults ministry that transitions graduating seniors naturally into the broader life of the church
The role includes stewardship of an approximately $35,000 ministry budget and close collaboration with teams across RC Kids, Adult Discipleship, Weekend Experience, Communications, and the Executive Team.
Red Cedar Church holds to Wesleyan theology, affirms women in ministry including pastoral roles, and holds a traditional, historical view of marriage and gender.
The ideal candidate is a faithful follower of Jesus with a visionary, entrepreneurial mindset; a gifted communicator of God's Word; an exceptional recruiter and developer of leaders; highly relational and emotionally healthy; organized enough to build and sustain ministry systems; and energized by growth, innovation, and multiplication. Proficiency with ProPresenter, Apple products, Google Suite, and social media is required.
