New Life Center is a Christ-centered, nondenominational rescue mission that has served the Fargo-Moorhead community since 1907. Its mission is to guide people experiencing homelessness or addiction toward holistic transformation through the love of Jesus. Today, more than 110 employees serve across five locations, and the ministry is preparing for significant growth.

The next People & Culture Director will report directly to Executive Director Rob Swiers and serve on the senior leadership team. As New Life Center expands its programs and workforce, this leader will oversee the full HR function while helping develop the people, systems, and culture needed for the future.

The People & Culture Director will:

• Lead and develop the HR team while partnering with senior leadership

• Guide recruitment, hiring, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning

• Strengthen employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution

• Equip managers through coaching, training, and practical HR support

• Oversee compensation, benefits, policies, compliance, and HR systems

• Build effective processes for staff development and organizational growth

• Help sustain a healthy, Christ-centered culture across all locations

• Navigate sensitive personnel matters with wisdom, professionalism, and care

The right person will be an experienced HR professional with a growing relationship with Jesus, strong leadership skills, and a heart for serving others. They will be humble, relational, organized, and comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on responsibilities. Candidates with backgrounds in business, nonprofit organizations, or ministry are welcome. Previous ministry experience is not required, but a strong commitment to New Life Center's Christian mission is essential.
