The Next-Gen & Communication Director/Pastor will provide leadership and direction for ministry programs for children, youth, and young adults, and lead church-wide communication and media strategies. This role is a director or associate pastor level position with significant leadership opportunities. The ideal candidate is both pastoral and creative.
Create safe, secure, and engaging ministry environments
Develop creative strategies and events to engage families in our community
Plan, organize, and implement ministry programs and activities for next-gen ministry
Oversee teaching in next-gen ministries including review and selection of curriculum and materials to assure biblically sound and in agreement with Valley View’s beliefs and mission
Plan, organize, and implement communication and media strategies through print, email, social media, website, etc.
Recruit, train, schedule, and oversee ministry teams in next-gen and communication
Manage budgets, schedules, equipment, and supplies for next-gen and communication
Assist with general church planning, strategies, and events to engage our community and disciple our congregation

An engaged and active member of Valley View who supports and participates in church-wide events, worship, and service
An undergraduate or seminary degree in a related ministry field
Experience leading next-gen and/or communication ministries in a church context
Effectively manage multiple responsibilities and priorities
Work well alone and in collaboration with others
Proficient computer skills including working knowledge or the ability to learn Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Mailchimp, Canva, social media, church management and website software, etc.
Friendly, engaging, organized, effective verbal and written communication
Flexibility to be available for weekday office hours as well as evenings/weekends for ministry and/or special events when necessary
