Operations Director

Purpose: Impact Church is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Operations Director to oversee and optimize the daily operations of our church. The Operations Director will be responsible for managing administrative functions, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of church operations, and supporting the ministry's mission and vision. This role requires a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills, financial acumen, and the ability to manage a diverse team of staff and volunteers.

 Reports to: Senior Executive Pastor 

Key Responsibilities:

 Operational Leadership:

·      Oversee the day-to-day operations of the church, ensuring all activities align with the church’s mission and strategic goals.

·      Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

·      Coordinate and oversee major church events, ensuring logistical excellence.

Staff Management:

·      Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

·      Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of operations staff.

·      Coordinate with ministry leaders to ensure alignment and support for various church activities and programs.

Facilities Management:

·      Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of all church facilities.

·      Manage relationships with contractors, service providers, and vendors.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.

·      Oversee the Facilities Team, ensuring efficient space planning and facility upkeep.

Financial Oversight:

·      Develop and manage the operations budget in collaboration with the finance team.

·      Monitor financial performance, including expense control, and recommend cost-saving measures.

·      Assist in financial planning and forecasting to support church growth and sustainability.

Concerts:

·      Serve as the point of contact for Event Tour Managers.

·      Communicate all details of events to all staff and confirm departmental ownership.
Secure event dates and oversee all operational and business processes on the day of the event.

·      Confirm settlement payouts at night-end or post-event with Pastor Andre.

Events:

·      Plan and manage events supporting various ministries.

·      Serve as the point of contact and oversee rental of rides (e.g., Zipline, Ferris Wheel), food trucks, hired entertainment, photobooths, Porta Potty, Arizona Ice Man, tenting, and other event necessities.

·      Procure contracts, ensure on-time arrival and pick-up, and disburse payments at events' end.

·      Manage facilities staff for space planning, trash collection, line control, and other needs as they arise.

·      Coordinate with the municipality for Fire Marshal and City of Phoenix/Scottsdale/Mesa requirements.

·      Work with CAD designers to obtain space planning documents for approval and handle heavy equipment pricing and sourcing for outdoor stage assembly.

·      Escalate any safety or structural issues.

·      Order contingency supplies for weather shifts.

·      Maintain cleanliness, safety, and order, including managing cable ramps and tripping hazards.

·      Communicate with and manage paid weekly transportation vans, including invoice payment and scheduling.

·      Collaborate with Branding Director Erica and creative volunteers for event aesthetics, including lobby displays and photo ops.

·      Oversee special guest merchandise, including receipt, setup, display, sales, signing station, photo ops, staffing, teardown, product pack-out, and shipment. Train volunteers on the product line and sales process.
