Vintage Church is seeking a Local Pastor to shepherd our Downtown Raleigh congregation
of approximately 450 weekly attenders, helping people know, live, and advance the gospel.
Following the dismissal for cause of our founding and lead pastor of 23 years, Vintage is
entering a new chapter of ministry and leadership. We’re looking for a pastor who can help
lead Downtown into that next chapter with humility, wisdom, and a heart for people. An
interim pastor is currently serving in the role and will continue until our new pastor is in
place.
We’re looking for a pastor who loves people, teaches Scripture faithfully, and equips others
for ministry. You’ll serve as our primary Sunday preacher, preaching approximately 38–42
Sundays each year, while investing in pastoral care, discipleship, and the development of
staff and ministry leaders.
Working alongside local elders and a dedicated staff team, you’ll guide the congregation’s
ministry priorities, build relationships in the city, and help create a church community that
welcomes doubters, seekers, and followers of Jesus. You’ll also collaborate with Vintage’s
Lead Pastor and other local pastors in our shared mission across the Triangle and beyond.
Our ideal candidate brings:
A vibrant relationship with Jesus and the character qualifications of a biblical elder.
At least five years of pastoral experience, including substantial preaching, shepherding,
and staff leadership.
A record of clear, gospel-centered preaching and developing others for ministry.
Humility, relational warmth, teachability, and a commitment to shared leadership.
A bachelor’s degree, preferably in theology, ministry, or a related field
Agreement with Vintage’s doctrinal positions.
We’re seeking someone ready to put down roots and invest in Vintage Downtown for at
least five years.
