Worship / Associate Pastor

Purpose of the Job:

The role of the Worship / Associate Pastor is to serve the Campus Pastor at our Hilltop campus and work alongside in overseeing and coordinating the Worship Ministry at Christ Church. The role takes on the responsibility of guarding the spiritual culture and character of the Worship Ministry, Christ Church Kingdom Team, and other people or groups as assigned to the Worship Pastor. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Primary Worship Leader of the Christ Church Hilltop campus.

• Lead and manage the Worship and Technical Teams.

• Create, coordinate, and lead a worship experience with a team.

• Oversee the scheduling of volunteer teams within the campus.

• Oversee the structures and systems of Christ Church Worship.

• Oversee the Christ Church Online experience and Technical Teams.

• Equip and provide ongoing growth support for Worship Leaders.

• Develop new Kingdom Team members to be successful in serving the Worship Ministry.

• Assist the Campus Pastor in ensuring all environments are Sunday ready each week.

• Assist volunteer ministry leaders throughout the week to ensure each ministry area is effective and

  prepared for Sunday service.

• Coordinate with volunteer ministry leaders to learn about ministry needs that may need additional

  help or resources and provide direction, guidance, or resources as needed.

• Coordinate with campus pastor in regard to special events or elements.

• Provide administrative support for church tracking metrics.

• Fulfill the requirements and faithfully perform the duties of “Pastor” at Christ Church.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Minimum of 3 years of worship leading in a local church.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.

  • Preferred experience with a variety of worship programs and software.

  • Proficiency in voice and piano or guitar.
