Job Description:
Objective: To assist Campus Pastor with leadership and direction for Cross Point Nashville Campus, maintaining alignment with overall Cross Point vision while shepherding this campus congregation.
Associate Pastor Responsibilities
• Lead attenders into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ both personally and through systems.
• Heavy emphasis on administration with the Campus Pastor to help with campus operations and logistics.
• Counsel Nashville Campus Attendees
• Assist with any follow-up to first-time guests, including overseeing weekly assimilation.
• Assist in the planning, creation, and execution of church activities, as assigned.
• Assist in the preparation of any campus-specific marketing.
• Assist Campus Pastor in implementing vision to staff, volunteers, and attenders.
• Help to identify problems, find solutions and handle conflicts.
• Work with each campus department to make sure they are executing weekly tasks.
• Build relationships with key ministry leaders and volunteers.
• Work with campus staff to make sure they are supported by and equipping strong volunteers so they can effectively hand off ministry.
• Have a working knowledge of systems such as ordering, budgeting, resources, administration, etc.
• Learn each respective ministry by serving in all of them for development.
• Perform weddings, funerals, and other services of that nature.
First Impression Responsibilities:
• Oversee the First Impressions Team (Greeters, Resource Center, Café, Connecting Points, parking).
• Provide training to volunteers and create opportunities for them to maximize their serving experience at Cross Point.
• Design the lobby, with direction from Nashville & Creative Arts staff, each Sunday.
• Contact team members each week to remind them of their area of service.
• Build relationships with volunteers.
• Assist with Discovering Cross Point, as needed.
• Help to maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, breeze way, bathrooms and auditorium on Sundays.
• Recruit new volunteers to serve with First Impressions.
• Work alongside Office Manager to coordinate administrative tasks for First Impressions, such as schedules and supplies.
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree required (Bible College or Seminary preferred).
