Slingshot Group (www.slingshotgroup.net) is partnering with Hopevale Church in search of a Worship Pastor to join the team. In 2010 Hopevale moved into their new 54,000 square foot facility, located on 54 acres. Since the move, the church has experienced a new level of rapid growth. In 2011, Hopevale was listed in Outreach Magazine as one of the fastest growing churches in America.
Some of the key strengths of the church would include the following:
Relational Depth: Quality relationships are the bedrock for everything that happens at Hopevale. A high priority is placed on making sure that every ministry area is part of a Biblically functioning community.
Supportive Leadership: The senior leadership is very supportive to the entire staff. They understand that ministry is a marathon and decisions are made to sustain key staff for the long haul of the journey together.
Pragmatic Decision Making: The direction of the church functions in a healthy team environment. Nothing important happens without careful thought and collaboration from all the necessary key players.
Unity: There is a clear sense of direction and support for the vision of the church.
Momentum: There is a clear sense that the church has barely touched the surface of reaching its full redemptive potential. The facilities will allow for future growth and ministry impact for many years to come.
Spiritual Movement: The services are filled with a great balance of Sound Biblical Doctrine with a personal call to action.
Longevity: Hopevale understands the importance of a balanced multi-generational ministry. There are great youth and children’s ministry programs in place to help reach and grow the next generation into fully committed followers of Christ.
Hopevale is located in the heart of the Great Lakes Bay Region of Central Michigan. The area is experiencing renewed economic growth with over $4.6 billion in new investment in advanced technology, solar energy, storage devices, and information consulting. Major businesses in the region include the world headquarters of Dow Chemical Company, Dow Corning, Hemlock Semiconductor, and Nexteer Automotive. The region currently boasts the highest job growth in the state. The business community is actively engaged with the community on issues of business internationalization, education, the arts, sustainable business, and regional economic growth. The region is also a medical hub for the surrounding communities, providing advanced hospitals and specialists in all disciplines.
The worship at Hopevale is authentic and engaging. Solid leadership has guided both the worship team and the church for the last ten years, learning how to spiritually engage in the service. The music style is a blend of contemporary/modern. The team consists of multiple bands, each bringing their own style to the table.
The church already has a great foundation of talented artists, with a deep sense of spiritual passion and relational community. Young musicians are also developing within the church to build into others for the future.
Hopevale is a very healthy church from the leadership to all aspects of the worship arts ministry. Most of the challenges are associated around finding more room for all the people coming to the church. This a very exciting season to be a part of the ministry at Hopevale.
This is a great opportunity for a worship arts leader to bring a balanced approach of spiritual passion, team building leadership, and creativity to a church community who is poised for bearing fruit to glorify God and build the Kingdom of Heaven!
This is not a starter job. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams in a larger church environment and/or have multi-site leadership experience. A college degree is preferred but not required.
