About the Position: 

The Associate Pastor is responsible to the Senior Pastor for assistance in the areas of pastoral care, adult discipleship, leadership development, missions, and administration in helping the church to accomplish our vision of “Helping people Know Christ, Grow in Community, and Go live out the Great Commission.”  This person should be able to walk the line between a strategic visionary and a relational builder.

A seminary degree is desired, but a college degree is essential.

Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate will have training and experience in the areas of church pastoral care, discipleship, leadership development, missions, and administration. This individual will be a self-starter who is energetic and able to balance multiple tasks and responsibility areas at one time. This individual will demonstrate the ability to love God and people as well as the capability to equip and empower leaders to work as a team in order to plan, organize, and carry out the ministry together.

  • Display excellent communication (verbal & non-verbal), computer, & social media skills.
  • Exceptional team player (cooperation, ability to laugh, enjoys life and people).
  • Strong organizational, financial, leadership, and implementation skills
  • Proven success in ministry program planning, implementation, and execution.
  • An exceptional ability to work well within a staff group environment.
  • Driven to meet and exceed personal and professional standards of productivity.
  • A teachable spirit and an insatiable willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrated stewardship in ministry budget management.

About the Location:
