Job Description:

 

The Children’s Ministries Director is responsible for the development and implementation of the vision, strategy and tactical elements for all programs, activities and educational aspects related to Children’s Ministry at Highland Gospel Community. Specifically, the Children’s Ministries Director is responsible for Sunday School (Nursery-2nd grade) and AWANA. The Children’s Ministries Director will report directly to the Elder Team.

  • Possess the ability to understand and to keep current on issues related to safety and security resulting in the implementation of associated activities and safeguards.

    Specific Responsibilities:

  • Administrate Children’s Ministry (CM) programs within the church.

  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of curriculum.

  • Pursue parents and families to develop relationships.

  • Recruit, train and manage volunteers,

  • Cast vision for CM to volunteers and church body.

  • Set direction and train CM volunteers.

  • Serve the volunteers within the CM.

  • Oversee the maintenance of safety accreditations for all volunteers, and communicate policies and procedures for emergency situations.

 

• Manage CM and AWANA budget to properly meet the needs of each program.
• Partner with other staff and ministry leaders to integrate vision into various areas of church life• Maintain communication plans to keep elder team, volunteers and parents informed.Schedule:

This part time position provides 20 hours a week for administration, weekly staff meeting, relationship building, and training.
