The Department of Conference Services at Messiah College has an immediate opening for the position of
Sound and Lighting Technician
Responsibilities: This full-time, year-round position is responsible for supporting all college functions such as conferences, events, meetings, and activities with sound, lighting, and audio/visual technical support.
Qualifications: High School Diploma required as well as substantial experience in the operation of complex sound, lighting and video systems and demonstrated work experience in Customer Service. Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and three years
as a master electrician, sound engineer, lighting and sound design or related position in a professional, academic, or house of worship environment.

with colleagues and other departments; rigorous attention to detail; solid organizational skills, including time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities; ability to work independently; ability to work well under pressure;
demonstrate commitment to the job and strong work ethic; knowledge of sound, lighting and video equipment and technology; knowledge of electricity and electrical components; ability to solder and repair cables; strong customer service skills; ability to quickly
learn and adapt to new equipment.
