Synopsis of Role 

This position gives oversight to the Technical Ministries of New River. This is all things Audio/Video/Lighting. This job provides an opportunity to be a vital part of enhancing the church’s look at feel to the public in worship services; opportunity to work with various staff, musicians, volunteers, and others involved in events, weekend, weekday, and special services. The responsibilities, skills and competencies will be broken down separately.


Average work week: 40+ hrs.


Principal Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day needs of the AVL department
  • Oversee with implementation of audio needs for services and events
  • Oversee audio coverage for all campuses
  • Oversee Live Video and Broadcast with required equipment and volunteers
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment as needed
  • Maintain the security of all AV equipment and files
  • Run Sound Board as needed on Sundays with a team of volunteers
  • Oversee training of volunteers – Audio/Video/Lighting
  • Site visits to other campuses at least twice a month
  • Give Sunday services top priority
  • Assist in ensuring all events requiring multi-media are manned properly
  • Develop self in furthering personal technical stills
  • Perform any and all assigned duties with excellence
