Current - A Christian Church is a rapidly growing church in a thriving suburb of America’s third largest city, Houston, Texas. We are blessed with faithful and committed Elders, staff and volunteer leaders. We are also blessed with a new addition
to accommodate the growth God has blessed us with, but facilities continue to feel squeezed as the growth continues.

Along with the other skills and abilities that are required, be sure to pack your organization skills. A big part of this role is the ability to organize what will be promoted, when and how. Along with the ability to sift out challenges and attack
them. In addition, this role will set the tone and build a culture of / volunteering and service. It’s all about attention to details and top notch follow-up, fueled by a deep passion for people.

Communications Key Responsibilities
Design and Brand Management
Oversee all design of print and electronic media
Oversee all written materials related to promotions
Monitor the look, vibe and feel of all promotional materials (logos, images, etc) representing Current – A Christian Church
Develop system to organize, prioritize and communicate promotional items
Create communication strategies to market, inform, and promote teaching series, big events and other campaigns assigned
Manage ongoing social media messaging and communication strategies
Creatively build followings on various social media outlets, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
Lead all efforts related to the creation and development of Current’s website
Proactively work to make sure Current maintains an effective presence on the web including style/presence, search engines, new technology
Coordinate webpage maintenance – ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) are posted regularly
Lead Communication and Technology Team
Oversee video director and technology assistant
Responsible for oversight of purchase, implementation, care and troubleshooting of all technology
Oversight of the development of volunteer teams for technology (existing), video, photo, social media, etc.
Coordinate with Worship Ministry on technology and video aspects
Develop a prioritized update and replacement schedule for all technology
Develop a prioritized next purchase / upgrade schedule for future technology
Serve Greater Key Responsibilities
Develop A Serving Culture
Be the champion for “Serving Greater” at Current
Find ways to promote our serving philosophy through verbal, print and electronic media
Drive serving and involvement in social media, website and other outlets
Maximize church database for serving
Develop Our Approach To Serving
How do we recruit, retain and reward volunteers (how often, etc.)
Work with each ministry on volunteer approach and health
Streamline volunteer intake and follow up process
Develop Information and Promotional Opportunities For Serving
Oversee video clips for all serving opportunities at Current
Oversee “at a glance” job descriptions for all serving opportunities at Current
Implement innovative opportunities for service, ie. Serve With A Friend Sunday, Serving Tours, Try It You’ll Like It Guarantee, Ministry Fair Type Events, etc.
