K2 the Church is an authentic, relationship-driven church committed to pursuing reckless faith in Christ.  Our mission is to invite and equip everyone to live out the adventure of following Christ.


We are searching for a children’s ministry director who will champion a compelling vision for our kid’s spiritual development.  You must have a track record of practicing relational excellence with volunteers.  This is a key leadership position within our staff – a leader of leaders who will have a seat on the top management team at K2.


Primary Responsibilities   

  • Responsible for all aspects of children’s ministries at K2, which encompasses birth through 6th grade.  We average nearly 300 children per Sunday, with over 1,000 unique visitors each year
  • Owner of the vision and be able to cast the vision with passion and clarity
  • Leader of the children’s ministry staff and 100+ volunteers
  • Integrate and champion the K2 mission and vision in the children’s ministry
  • Oversee the selection of curriculum & other educational materials needed for equipping our kids to grow a relationship with Christ
  • Building, recruiting, training and encouraging a strong volunteer base
  • Provide administration leadership for long-range strategic planning, budgeting and calendar coordination

Primary Qualifications

  • Has been a practicing believer for a minimum of 6 years, with strong core biblical knowledge and spiritual maturity
  • Have a history of healthy conflict resolution skill and relational bridge building
  • Good communication skills in both interpersonal and large group contexts
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working with children in a professional environment
  • Proven competence in curriculum evaluation and implementation
  • 4 year degree preferred in either education or ministry

Position Details

  • Full time, 40+ hours per week
  • Starting pay DOE/DOQ
