About Crossview:
Crossview Church is part of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) and is located in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Our mission is to Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World. Our church is welcoming, Gospel-focused, Scripture-centered, and down to earth. We strive to prioritize life groups, stay active in our community, and provide a loving environment for spiritual growth.  Our average weekly attendance is 480 people, with over 100 people actively participating in life groups (our small group ministry).

Primary Purpose of Position: To lead a God-honoring and fruitful ministry by leading and developing the Worship and Communication Ministries of Crossview Church. 

 

1) Character and Ministry Values

2)  Primary Assignment: Worship Ministry

 

a. Ministry Development - Develop and implement a philosophy of ministry that is aligned with our mission of Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World. Prayerfully and intentionally seek to improve the quality and reach of our worship.

 

b. Team Building - Recruit, lead, encourage, train and support volunteers to implement excellent worship services. Mentor and empower lay leaders to lead worship on Sunday mornings or in other given opportunities. Foster the great gospel-centered team culture that presently exists to serve the Lord and one another. Develop worship teams and foster a heart of worship in the student and children ministries as well.

 

c. Worship Leading -  Serve as the primary worship leader for our weekend services modeling godliness, humility, teamwork, and diligent preparation. Oversee all worship and musical elements for Crossview Church, and lead productive worship team rehearsals. Introduce creative elements of worship into our services, and provide leadership and worship elements to special events such as baptism services, funerals, etc.

 

d. Worship Planning & Management -  Work with teaching pastor and volunteers to design weekly services that exalt Christ, inspire believers, and connect with the congregation, and occasionally create, administrate, and develop special events that do the same. Schedule volunteers for worship services and practice times. Oversee the worship department’s technical teams including video, audio, stage and slides. Coordinate details of services with teams and staff clearly and efficiently. Manage Planning Center and weekly cue sheets for services and volunteers.

 

 

3.)  Secondary Assignment: Communications Director

 

a. Administration - Maintain and oversee Crossview Church’s website and social media accounts as well as keeping our online presence fresh, welcoming and engaging.

 

b. Leadership - Cultivate, lead and manage communications to streamline and engage the Crossview culture through clear communication, brand presence and consistency.

 

c. Development – Work with church and ministry leaders to develop communications processes and define priorities to create an environment in which messages and events can be communicated clearly, creatively and effectively. Keep ears open to stories of life-change within the congregation and develop ways to communicate those stories.

 

d. Produce – Create, plan and implement effective communications and strategies to church and community audiences. Support church and ministry leaders in conveying their vision and communication priorities to appropriate audiences. Design and produce printed communications and that ensures high-quality and highest impact created for both internal and external audiences.
