Job Description:

We are looking to add a Worship Leader (plus)

We’re a vibrant, growing, bible-centered, yet untraditional church community. Our current worship leader is moving to another state, so we’re looking for a new one. Currently, the worship leader position is a part-time position, but we’re open to considering someone on a full-time basis IF that person has additional skills that could be valuable to our community (i.e. graphic design).

We’re currently meeting in a temporary space, the “cafetorium” of the elementary school next to our property, and are averaging 225-275 on a weekend (we have two Sunday services, 9 and 10:45 am). We’re getting ready to move back on to our campus where we’re completing a new, state-of-the-art sanctuary/facility. The new sanctuary will seat about 380 and have the capacity to live-stream and podcast Sunday services.

The right candidate will be a good fit for our staff and be able to buy into our vision – we are a very diverse community of Jesus-followers trying daily to draw closer to Him and seeking to grow our authentic, Gospel-centered community, so that we can be used by God to change our area. The right candidate must also be a disciplined, self-starter who is capable of building and working well with the worship team and doesn’t require (or desire) micromanagement. The right candidate must also be able to work in a Mac environment. A working knowledge of (or at least the ability to learn) Proclaim presentation software would be helpful.

We think that we’ve got one of the best working atmospheres around and that all of our people really love being a part of our team. That said, the right candidate will need either to be familiar with the peculiarities of South Florida living (believe it or not, living here in paradise isn’t for everyone) or at least willing to put down roots here and learn to love our eccentricities.

You can check out our website www.hammockstreetchurch.comto get a better sense of who we are. It’d be a good idea to listen to a few messages and read our bio’s to get a flavor of Hammock Street.

We’d like to have someone in place by July 1, 2018.
