About the Organization:

In January of 2013, the current Lead Pastor and his wife heard God speak to their hearts about planting a life-giving church that would teach people how to honor God and build lives that reflect His goodness to the world. This desire was strong, and they quickly realized they were entering a season of preparation and transition. So they prayed earnestly and sought wise counsel to clearly discern the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Today, Faith Family Church is a thriving and growing non-denominational church focused on reaching the unchurched, building a strong leadership culture, and creating strategic pathways to connecting believers with Christ.  They are also affiliated with ARC, the Association of Related Churches and the GROW Network.


About the Position: 

The Student Pastor will provide visionary leadership and oversight to the student ministry of Faith Family Church. They will be responsible for FFC Students in junior high and high school, care and connection, and administration of the student ministries department.


What We're Searching For:

A bachelor’s degree is not required, but a plus. Further theological training is also a plus but is not required.



One to two years of related youth ministry experience or youth ministry leadership is ideal for this role.

About the Location: 

Baytown is a city within Harris County and partially in Chambers County in the Gulf Coast region of Texas. Located within the Houston-Woodlands-Sugar Land metropolitan vicinity, it is the fourth largest city in this area.

Baytown first settled in 1822. What began as three separate cities began margining into one, shortly after World War 1, finalizing the consolidation in 1947. Known for its history in oil and refinery, the ‘Baytown Refinery’ is known to be one of the largest Exxon refineries in the world. As such, Exxon-Mobil has marked its territory in Baytown, proving to be the major employer with 10 operating plants in the area. Among other anchors of the business community are Chevron Phillips and the Cedar Bayou Plant.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city occupies a total area of 36.5 square miles. Due to its location in the gulf coastal plain bordered by water on three sides, the city is abounding with rich grasslands, marshes, swamps, and prairies. Its climate is a pleasantly humid subtropical, with highs in the 90’s and lows nearing the 40’s.

Consisting of an estimated population of 76,802 in 2014, Baytown’s racial makeup recorded 62.9% White, 43.4% Hispanic/Latino,15.5% African American, 0.6% Native American, 1.5% Asian, 14.42% from other races, and 2.7% from two or more races. The median income for a household in the city was $48,191, and for a family was $45,346.

With a storied history, and progressive future ahead, Baytown is a city that never settles, but is always on the move.
