Educational Requirements
Completed a Bachelors Degree in Theology from an approved College or Seminary.

Children’s Minister Job Qualifications:
Love for Children and Families
Organizational and leadership skills
Ability to build and lead volunteer teams Preschool-Elementary
Enjoy communicating and relating to kids.
Creative and innovative 
Team Player
Teachable and has a desire to improve. 

Responsibilities Included (but not limited to):
Oversight and leadership of the children’s ministry (birth-6th Grade). 
This includes Sunday morning programing for Preschool and Elementary, Sunday Night “GROUPS” Childcare, Wednesday night Kids Bible Study, Summer Activities, assist in Charity’s Summer Day Camp, Summer Slam Director, Camp KidJam, assist in planning family events such as “Charity’s Family Fall Festival”, and staff advocate for the nursery team, etc.
Recruit, train, screen, and encourage children’s ministry volunteers.
Create and effectively manage the ministry’s budget.
Train and supervise children’s ministry coordinators to set up for programs, manage the volunteer schedule and lead well.
Communicate consistently with parents as well as provide the tools they need for spiritual leadership.
Be an active member and participant on the pastoral staff team, giving support and ideas when needed. 
Be the advocate for families/children in the church.
Choose and prepare curriculum for each program and each age level. (252 Basics)
Create environments, activities and programing for each age group that will facilitate learning and encourage spiritual growth. 
Serve as a spiritual role model. 
Model healthy church and family life by maintaining appropriate spiritual discipline and balance in personal, family, work and community life. 
Create and maintain a children’s ministry calendar of all events and activities. 
Conduct child baptisms and pre-baptism interviews.
Build relationships with volunteers and parents
Set up and run Sunday morning check-in system. Build volunteer schedule.
