Job Description:


  • Maintains Executive Pastor’s calendar and weekly schedule

             ?    Schedules one-on-ones with staff and outside meetings for Executive Pastor

  • Assists the Executive Pastor in developing and executing office policies and procedures
  • Manages schedule for staff, pastors’, and various volunteer team meetings alongside Executive Pastor
  • Keeps track of action items from above meetings
  • Manages and helps coordinate special projects Executive Pastor has been tasked with
  • Responds to emails and phone calls as needed on Executive Pastor’s schedule
  • Helps to manage and keep track of financial documents, staffing documents, and human resource documents alongside Executive Pastor
  • Plans/coordinates staff and volunteer events
  • Observes all ministry environments to help Executive Pastor keep a pulse on team dynamics

Qualities, Characteristics and Skills

  • Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products & database applications
  • Ability to confront areas of concern with office staff
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with office staff and those outside the office
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks without direction
  • Ability to protect the reputation and integrity of others through strict confidentiality
  • Observant and proactive personality that takes initiative, self-starter

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have previous executive assistant experience
  • Must be ‘all in’ with mission and vision of Church at Viera
  • Experience in developing and cultivating staff culture


Work Schedule, Salary, Benefits

  • A regularly scheduled work week occasionally including Sunday morning and Saturday evening services
  • Weekday office hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (Monday – Thursday)
  • Additional time may be required to appropriately perform the duties related to this ministry position such as night meetings, special events, etc.
  • Salary commensurate with job knowledge and experience
