Support Staff Position Description

Worship Arts Ministry


Job Title:                     Graphics and Communications Director


Reports To:                 Pastor of Worship & Arts


Office Hours:              Twenty hours per week


Job Goal:                    To provide Christ-like leadership, vision, and creativity to Graphics and Communications produced by First Baptist Church of Alpharetta.




1.0   Responsible for developing, creating, maintaining and updating the following areas

1.1   Sunday morning publications including Bulletin and promotional material

1.2   Posters/Displays throughout the church campus

1.3   Branding items such as pens, envelopes and stationary

1.4   Timelines and deadlines for all publications

1.5   Announcement slides

1.6   Pastor’s background graphics


2.0   Website Development, maintenance and update

2.1   Maintain accuracy throughout site

2.2   Determine necessary content

2.3   Develop new ways to improve our reach to the community through our website

2.4   Update banners and other time sensitive information


3.0  Development of Volunteer Communications Team

3.1  Recruit volunteer personnel to help with concept development and editing for all publications.

3.2  Recruit volunteer personnel to assist with photos of events for social media and publicity

3.3  Train volunteer personnel 


4.0  Development and Fulfillment of all Graphic Needs of the Church

                                    4.1 Social Media/Website

                                    4.2 Children’s Ministry

                                    4.3 Student Ministry

                                    4.4 Other Ministry areas – LCU, MidWeek, Sunday Services

                                    4.4 Determine and Oversee Outsourcing

                  4.5 Special Requests from Leadership
