About the Organization:

Grace Fellowship is a place where believers are welcomed into a family who shares the love of Christ everyday by living life as a ministry. Calling upstate New York home, Grace Fellowship Church is a non-denominational multisite church that continues to grow and disciple and send other Christians to share the good news of the Gospel. 


About the Position: 

Put simply, the Campus Pastor lives out the Grace Fellowship vision in a local community and leads others into Christ-centered stories of transformation. He does this by carrying out the spiritual direction of the Executive Team, being incarnational in a local context and equipping the believers at the campus.

What We Are Searching For / Qualifications:

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Campus Pastor:


Some formal biblical or theological training is required. A bachelor’s degree is required, although an M.Div. is preferred. 


At least three years of experience as a campus pastor or in a church leadership capacity is required.

Multisite experience is also preferred.

Personal Characteristics 

  • Growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a solid history of faith, about 10 years or more.
  • A willingness to be a covenant member of Grace Fellowship Church, if not already.
  • Someone who is committed and passionate about making more and better
  • Someone who feels a strong sense of call to the Albany, NY, area and the Half Moon community.
  • Someone who is optimistic about the future and a strong faith in what God can accomplish.
  • Relatable and engaging to people of all cultures and backgrounds.
  • Heart for reaching their local community for Jesus Christ.
  • This role will not preach but may have teaching opportunities in other campus environments, so excellent teaching skills would be helpful.
  • Someone who is likeable, approachable, and passionate.
  • Self-awareness and winsome character. Energetic and engaging personality.
  • Strategic and intentional personality.
  • A high-level enthusiasm to cast vision and value to the staff and congregation.
  • Someone who has pastoral gifts of leadership, shepherding, and teaching.
  • A great communicator but is okay with not preaching in the weekend services.
  • Someone who can be a good team builder and developer.
  • A strong leader who is focused on vision.
  • Theologically grounded.
  • Someone that exemplifies biblical humility as a leader and has a good sense of humor.
  • Key administrative skills in management, interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence and organization.
