Primary Duties and Responsibilities


Team Development

Recruitment and Care: Recruit and develop musicians to be a part of the team, specifically concentrating on building our college ministry and global worship* teams.

Development: Work side-by-side with the Music Team in developing musical excellence and creativity in this ministry.

Lead worship: Co-lead the congregation in weekend serves 2-3 times per month as well as in College Ministry and global worship an additional 2-3 times per month.


Personal Development

Creative Arts Meetings: Attend departmental, supervisory, and music team meetings.

Staff Meetings: Attend Staff meetings for global, visionary, and organizational matters.



Resources: Arranging and transcribing as needed, participating in songwriting with the Music Team and volunteers, coaching various worship teams specifically in College Ministry and other global worship venues.

Rehearsals: Leading musical rehearsals during the week in assigned services.

Production: Using Digital Performer to contribute to track production and rehearsal track engineering.


Interaction with Others

This person will work closely with the Music Team as well as the rest of the Creative Arts staff in series planning, creative element implementation, weekend service reviews, cross-team troubleshooting, and special event planning and execution. He/she will also lead and develop relationships with Creative Arts volunteers. (*Global ministry refers to many of the various ministries we provide live worship for throughout ministry seasons.)


Required Skills/Abilities

This person must be a creative person with leadership abilities. An understanding of a presence-driven worship is necessary. Must be a team player willing to work with others and develop musical teams. Musical experience in a variety of genres of music, as well as arranging, tracking, and music theory is essential. Proficiency on a rhythm section instrument is required.

Bachelors in Music or Ministry related field
