TITLE OF POSITION:    Student Ministry Program Coordinator

 

 

 

 

REPORTS TO:              Student Ministry Director

 

POSITION TYPE:           Full-Time, 40 hours/week

 

PEERS WITH:               Events/Outreach Coordinator, College Coordinator,                                                              Gatherings/Discipleship Coordinator

 

CHURCH SIZE:             2500+ (200 – 400 students)

 

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:   The Student Ministry Program Coordinator will serve on the Student Ministry Team and as a greater part of the BACC staff. The primary responsibilities will be overseeing all operational aspects of gatherings and events for middle and high school students.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1) Oversee technical programming and equipment

  • Maintain A/V/L equipment and usage
  • Recruit, train and schedule Tech Team for gatherings and special events
  • Provide A/V/L programming in conjunction with gatherings and special events

 

2) Coordinate volunteer leader staffing

  • Recruit, train and equip volunteers for ushers, greeters, security and stage team
  • Coordinate volunteers for ministry programming in conjunction with Gatherings Coordinator and Events/Outreach Coordinator
  • Serve as the Liaison between Student Ministry and BACC Safety and Security Team

 

3) Manage Student Café

  • Recruit, train, equip a volunteer and part-time paid staff to run Student Café
  • Maintain inventory for Café
  • Manage income/expense for Café
  • Adhere to county and local health codes for Cafe

 

4) Oversee all social media platforms

  • Maintain social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) in order to promote student ministry
  • Create schedules for all social media
  • Coordinate photos, video and content

 

5) Assist with the programming for gatherings and special events

  • Help plan and organize gatherings and special events (A/V/L, stage props, special initiatives)
  • Coordinate special outreach programs such as After School Program or Coffee House

 

6) Manage the 25,000 square foot student ministry facility

  • Manage facility usage and scheduling of student facility
  • Oversee regular maintance of systems, furniture, equipment, and coordinator maintainence requests with BACC Facility Director
  • Ordering and purchasing for Café and related aspects of facility

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS DESIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree recommended but not required.
  • Proven proficency in technical systems (A/V/L), IT, and equipment is a must.
  • 2-3 years of experience in related field preferred
  • Significant experience managing staff and/or volunteers including recruiting, training and equipping
  • Familiarity with student ministry is helpful
  • Previous experience with Pro Presenter and Planning Center is desired.
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign preferred
  • Must be a hands-on person, able to “fix, build, create, and solve problems”
  • Must be an equipper of people, not just a “tech person”
