Grace Covenant Church -- Cornelius, North Carolina

Position: Videographer   Type: Full-time, Exempt


To honor God and advance the mission and vision of Grace Covenant Church, the Videographer, under the direction of the Creative Arts Director, will:

  • Serve as the church’s key contact for all video needs;
  • Create video podcasts, sermon support videos, social media videos, and vision casting videos to tell the story of God’s work at GCC through video
  • Oversee all facets of video support in each venue (sanctuary, fellowship hall, classrooms) on the campus;
  • Manage all aspects of video equipment, including budget development;
  • Develop and maintain positive, supportive relationships with volunteers and staff;
  • Complement Creative Arts Director in implementation of technical vision (assist in all technical areas as needed and able: audio, lighting, graphics, staging, and video);


Key Responsibilities:

  • Video post-production and editing
  • Prepare for and execute all video production for Grace services, rehearsals, and special events, supported by a team of volunteers, including: recording and broadcast; iMag video, streaming video, and post production
  • Provide collaborative technical support to campus churches
  • Oversee campus-wide video system operation and maintenance
  • Oversee video podcasts, promo/testimony videos, and related media
  • Assist Technical Arts department in department tasks
  • Recruit, train, and schedule technical (video) volunteers
  • Other responsibilities related to the position

  • Experience with Video directing a multi camera shoot
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with Canon DSLRs with general field production video skill
  • Experience with FCP X and Apple post production software a plus
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office, along with presentation software such as ProPresenter and PowerPoint.
  • Excels in interpersonal communication, with an ability to teach and develop willing volunteers of various skill levels.


  • Bachelor's degree in TV, Film, Fine Arts or related area AND two years experience operating video cameras and editing equipment; OR, Five years experience operating video cameras and editing equipment; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Anticipated Schedule:

  • Sunday – Thursday (some long Sundays and Wednesdays) 45 hours per week
