About the Organization:

Cornerstone Church was started in 1989 as First Evangelical Free Church at Prescott.  It was started by a small group of people that wanted a different church for the Prescott, Arizona community.  In the early years, they purchased the Rosser property where they saw growth, but in the mid-2000s the church dwindled to about 50 people and was on the verge of closing its doors. In 2009, through a very young pastor named John Dickerson, the church began to grow. Over the next 3 years, the church exploded, growing from 60 to 500 regular attenders.  In 2012, they outgrew the Rosser property for their Sunday services.  Through some divine connections, they started meeting on Sunday's at the Yavapai College Performing Arts Theater and became a mobile church on the weekends.  The Rosser property became the Rosser campus where Cornerstone Ministries continue to function throughout the week.

On Sundays, Yavapai College’s Performing Arts Theater transforms into a church venue with an amazing First Impressions experience, a thriving children’s ministry and a worship service with contemporary worship and a practical and applicable Biblical message from current Lead Pastor, Scott Savage.

The church’s desire to bring cohesion and depth to their Community Group Ministry, Connection Volunteer Teams, and First Impressions Experience has led to the creation of the Connection and Groups Pastor role.
