PURPOSE:   In partnership with ministry leaders, dream, develop, and deploy strategies to enhance social media, online, and digital projects encompassing all Ginghamsburg Church sites.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:

  • Build church brand and increase public visibility
  • Partner with ministry leaders to identify and deploy marketing strategies/external communications for key church initiatives and events, developing and monitoring associated marketing budgets
  • Write, create and deploy engaging content across all social media platforms as well as for print and web media
  • Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics and effectiveness, using information to positively affect future outcomes
  • In partnership with the creative media team, develop and deploy print and website marketing materials as applicable
  • Maintain current knowledge of best practices in the specific field of church communications/social media as well as best business practices
  • Develop and maintain media relationships, including maintaining an updated list of media relations contacts for press releases and other purposes
  • Develop and deploy press releases and PSAs and coordinate onsite support of media contacts present at events
  • Recruit and deploy unpaid servants to enhance and broaden Ginghamsburg’s social media presence
  • Generate purchase orders as needed
  • Ensure smooth operation for all digital tools and applications (e.g. websites, platforms, etc.)
  • Work with a team to analyze SEO and marketing metrics
  • Train internal teams to use digital technologies and ensure brand consistency
  • Suggest new optimization methods to improve the user experience
  • Ensure web best practices are met
