Ready for your next Kingdom challenge? We’re looking for a strategic leader that has a business brain with a pastoral heart to join us in this exciting chapter of our church’s history. After years of explosive ministry growth in Saginaw Township and the surrounding areas, we’ve just launched a multisite campus in Bay City. POSITION SUMMARY

The Executive Director/Pastor of Ministries will lead, manage, and align our Ministry Staff in pursuit of our mission to be a community of grace and truth inviting people to know and follow Jesus. As Chief of Staff, the Executive Director/Pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor and Elder Board to implement our vision and values. PROFILE

The Executive Director/Pastor of Ministries is a full-time position. This person is spiritually maturing as a Christian and gifted in Leadership and Administration with strong communication and people skills. They will have a Bachelor’s Degree in ministry or business administration with previous experience as a senior leader in a comparable setting (church, business, non-profit). They should: have a track record of leading and building teams in an employment setting; five years of pastoral or lay ministry leadership experience in a local church; and experience serving in a multi-site local church of 1,000 is desired. If you like to spend your time teaching, studying, and counseling, this probably isn’t the position for you. If you enjoy running a productive meeting, creating a strategic plan, mentoring others, managing projects, and don’t always need to be in the spotlight, then this could be your ideal role. We need someone who can say “no” to the good in favor of the best. You don’t need to be a financial expert, but you do need to be financially competent and responsible.

Hopevale is a non-denominational church inviting people from all backgrounds to know and follow Jesus. As one church in two locations (Saginaw and Bay City), we are a dynamic, relevant, and growing congregation of 2,000 in the Great Lakes Bay Region of mid-Michigan. Our church family is multigenerational, our worship is contemporary, our outreach is missional, and our ministry is shared by all. In Saginaw Township, we have a newer 54,000 square foot facility that houses our worship services as well as vibrant Kids and Adult Ministries. We also operate a nearby 38,000 square foot building for Youth Ministries and church offices. For our Bay City Campus, we presently meet in a 625 seat auditorium at John Glenn High School in Bangor Township with great lobby and Kids Min spaces. We additionally have 55 different home-based, missionally-minded Community Groups that meet throughout our region.
