Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a deep and growing relationship with God, active involvement in the leadership of a church, and a commitment to maintaining healthy accountable relationships. A Christ honoring lifestyle marked by, servanthood, generosity, joy, love for bible study and prayer. A growing passion to shepherd others in their walk with God and to work effectively with many key leaders is necessary. Integrity in finances, relationships, and time management is expected. The Communications and Marketing Director will be responsible for facilitating and managing the communications and marketing team of 2|42 with the goal of maintaining an information flow of opportunity and ministry information.  This position requires a confident leader, well versed in printed publications, internet and other forms of communication.  The Director must be a willing to assist all ministries in developing promotional plans to create awareness of 2|42 ministries to the larger community.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Demonstrated Experience:

  • Website: Developing and designing posts and pages that create a positive user experience and easy access to information.

  • Marketing: Overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of marketing campaigns across multiple platforms including but not limited to postcards, billboards, social media, digital advertising, and google ads

  • Social Media Management: The ability to not only curate content and promote the organization, but create connection through social channels.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the contact person for all communication information, to both internal and external sources.

  • Plan and coordinate promotional plans between ministry teams and the Arts Team.

  • Produce weekly service program.

  • Produce weekly Constant Contact emails and maintain email database.

  • Maintain informational in house displays, updating on an as needed basis.

  • Keep 2|42’s website current with information, ministry pages and design elements.

  • Submit press releases for various ministries and upcoming events, along with informational articles to newspapers for publication.

  • Organize marketing campaigns and mailings using outside sources.

  • Create and current content as well as build relationships through 2|42’s social media channels.

  • Design and prepare flyers, brochures, postcards, workbooks, signs and other printed materials. Oversee printing and distribution as needed.

  • Proof all published materials that promote 2|42 and its ministries.

  • Build a volunteer base to assist and expand capacity.

  • Stay current with fields related to communications by listening to recordings, reading books and periodicals, and/or attending approved conferences.

  • Meet regularly with the Business Director to assess progress toward visionary goals.
