Daystar Church is a nondenominational church worshipping in three campuses in cities throughout North Alabama. Our mission is to see community transformation through the love and power of Jesus. We are fueled by great faith as we've seen God do things that

About the Position:
The Campus Pastor is responsible for leading and implementing the vision of Daystar Church at the Madison campus location. They are tasked with leading a team of staff and volunteer ministry directors that serve the campus. They are responsible for championing
the DNA of Daystar Church, with both shepherding and administrative abilities, to effectively create growth and momentum built upon the foundational vision, mission, culture, and identity of Daystar Church. They will be largely responsible for attracting new
families, developing leaders from within, and creating community. Although this campus is primarily a video-based campus, there will be ample opportunities for live service teaching for the right candidate.
This position assumes responsibility at the campus level as its visionary and is the staff leader for the campus team. They will influence the direction of the Madison Campus. The ideal candidate for this role will be a very gifted leader that functions
best when offered freedom to lead in an environment of ‘hands off’ supervision, while at the same time leading and replicating an existing collaborative culture.
What We Are Searching For / Qualifications:
The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Campus Pastor:
A bachelor’s degree is not required but would be welcomed. Any further theological training is a plus.
This individual will have a successful track record of at least 3-5 years of experience in a pastoral role. They will have a solid theological understanding that aligns with Daystar Church, as well as the capacity to articulate systematic theology and the
Gospel in a practical and accessible way. They should also embrace pragmatic church growth principles and seek to implement these to ensure success and growth at the campus level.
The next campus pastor of Daystar Church will be highly relational, capable, principled, discerning, and collaborative while displaying strong characteristics of a catalytic leader. A typical candidate for this position could be a former church planter,
tenured pastoral staff, a tenured campus pastor from a previous/existing campus, or a lead pastor who desires to join a collaborative team for ministry. They will possess a core skill set in leadership and communication, with a pastoral heart and love for
- Has a passion for community and a desire to see people taking their next step towards Christ
- Relates to the un-churched and shares the gospel with others on a regular basis
- Has a strong devotional life and walk with God
- Strives to maintain healthy personal relationships
- Loves to laugh, learn, and work as part of a larger team
- Has a proven track record of working in a setting committed to reaching the unreached
- Enjoys working within a community
- Is ready to teach, lead, and shepherd a community
- Possesses a strategic thought process in managing new initiatives, dealing with ambiguity, identifying effective solutions, and envisioning the future
- Has a proven ability to work in a self-sustained manner, requiring little or no micromanagement
- Demonstrates an ability to adapt quickly
