Northwood Church is located in Maple Grove, MN, a northwest suburb of Minneapolis. Northwood is a church of nearly 500 people and we are preparing to begin construction on our first building in the summer of 2018. Currently, Northwood has four full-time
staff, including a Senior Pastor, Youth Pastor, Children & Family Pastor, and Office Manager. We also have a part-time Youth Associate. The church was birthed by Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, MN, and is affiliated with the Minnesota/Wisconsin Baptist
Convention. Our stated purpose is to “help more people believe in Jesus and become more like him.” We are seeking to add a full-time Worship Arts Pastor to our ministry team. This position reports to the Senior Pastor.
The Worship Arts Pastor is responsible for the overall leadership, design and implementation of worship services and music ministry of Northwood Church, and is specifically responsible for weekend services and any other special events that have a worship
element. We also will need help in the design and selection of all electronics and instrument related equipment in our new church building.
a) Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in leading worship in a local church.
b) Experience in program design and implementation.
c) Ability to plan and lead, with excellence, the worship and music ministry of Northwood Church in cooperation with the Senior Pastor.
d) Ability to recruit and train musicians, including volunteers and professionals, leading the worship team musically and spiritually.
e) Baccalaureate degree.
a) Provide spiritual and artistic leadership and development for the instrumental, vocal, media, visual and dramatic elements of worship services and related church events.
b) Educate and inspire the people of Northwood in their worship of God.
c) Spend adequate time in personal worship, study, prayer and preparation for all worship services.
d) Recruit, train and schedule personnel for their various roles in worship leadership (including musicians, vocalists, media, and other).
e) Lead/oversee weekly rehearsals for the Worship Team.
f) Minister to the spiritual and personal needs of people involved in the worship ministry.
g) Oversee production of weekly worship experiences including all programming and creative elements (lyrics, props, video elements, etc.).
h) Administrative worship web elements, including posting of sermons on the web.
i) Ensure that Northwood Church secures the appropriate copyright clearances for music, drama and media presentations.
j) Carry out other assignments, as given by the Senior Pastor.

c) Support the traditional evangelical theology for which Northwood Church stands.
d) Remain a member, in good standing, in Northwood Church.
4) OTHER SKILLS DESIRED
a) Coordinate social media ministry with other Northwood staff and volunteers, including the church website.
b) Expand and strengthen church communications strategies and systems, both internally and externally.
