Our growing, vibrant congregation of Risen Savior Lutheran Church (RSLC) in Broomfield, Colorado, seeks an enthusiastic, fun, motivated individual to lead its ministry outreach to children ages birth through 6th grade (and their families).



  • Leadership & Administration
  • Cross Training (Sunday School) Program

  • Early Childhood Ministry



  • Direct and implement educational and fellowship ministries for children ages birth through grade 6, and their families.
  • Identify, recruit, and train volunteers in the area of Children’s Ministry
  • Provide a fun environment for children and families
  • Customize and differentiate children’s ministry experiences for particular age groups (e.g. early childhood, elementary, and “transition” 5th/6th grade youth)



  • Remain informed about and adapt new trends in the Children’s Ministry field and the growing needs of our congregation
  • Develop long-range goals to grow Children’s Ministry, with special emphasis on family participation in worship and the life of the church
  • Actively seek to be evangelistic through all children’s ministry programs
  • Assure adequate nursery care for at-church educational groups and fellowship events
  • Arrange and coordinate Sunday morning programming for children
  • Evaluate and select curriculum materials for approval by the Associate Pastor, Next Generation Ministries
  • Organize and implement special family events in conjunction with Easter and Christmas celebrations and other special events (e.g., Rally Day, Live Nativity, Summer Ministry Activities)
  • Effectively communicate with both parents of children, and the congregation, regarding children’s activities and events, embracing email, social media, church directory, and other common forms of communication.
  • Offer service/mission opportunities to involve children and their families in community outreach and volunteer service
  • Attract new children and families to the congregation


  • Adhere to the confessional standard of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills
  • Love of children
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable in the top trends in childrens ministry
  • Computer proficiency
  • Working knowledge of email and social media communication platforms
  • Fun and enthusiastic



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Previous work in children’s ministry programs
