Job Description:

The United States Navy Chaplain Corps is comprised of more than 800 Navy Chaplains rom over 100 uniquely different faith groups, including Christian, Musllim, Buddhist, Jewish, and others. Each Chaplain is also a Naval Officer - meaning each Chaplain also holds a vital leadership role with the Navy family.

 

Chaplains offer everything from faith leadership to spiritual advice and counseling to much-needed assistance and solace. At the same time, they uphold the following basic principles of the Corps:

** To provide religious ministry and support to those of their own faith

** To facilitate the requirements of those with different and under-represented faiths

** To care for all service members and their families, including those who do not affiliate with a particular faith

** To advise the Navy command leadership in regards to freedom of religion and expression
