*The following details is intended to give a snapshot of the position expectations.


The primary focus for the Administrative Pastor position will be operations and serve teams. A secondary focus will be dependent upon the candidate's passion and gifting (Preaching, Teaching, Media, Outreach, etc.).


We are looking for a strong pastoral leader who possess both administrative and leadership gifts. This person will inherently be a strategic thinker and will most likely have a task-oriented personality. They are passionate about creating and refining systems to ensure the execution of the overall vision. They lead with a high degree of emotional intelligence and spiritual maturity. They will develop a firm grasp of the vision, values, and culture of Arlington Assembly and effectively lead others to live that out in their everyday lives.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Be the "right hand" person for the Lead Pastor to ensure that we are accomplishing our vision, which is "engaging, equipping, and empowering people to pursue God's purpose for their lives."
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the church through leadership and oversight of office staff, janitorial staff, and facility staff (currently three individuals).
  • Ensure the operational readiness of the church through the development and management of church systems and processes.
  • Assist the Lead Pastor in the leadership and implementation of various renovation and expansion projects.
  • Oversee the church calendars and resolve scheduling conflicts as needed.
  • In coordination with the Lead Pastor, develop church Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Church-wide quality control.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Be the primary leader overseeing our entire Serve Team (volunteers) System.
  • Provide leadership and training to Serve Team Leaders (key leaders that oversee specific Serve Teams).
  • In coordination with the Lead Pastor, develop, refine, and implement a Serve Team System and Standard Operating Procedures that effectively moves people from spectators to participators.
  • Lead the Ushers and Security Teams until effective leaders have been raised up and trained to assume the responsibility.
  • Oversee "Serve for a Day" strategy and coach individuals on a one-on-one basis to help them find the right fit in ministry.
  • Be the primary trainer for all Serve Team leaders ensuring that they reproduce the vision, values, and culture of Arlington Assembly within their teams.


  • At least 5 years of full-time ministry experience.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to see what others don't see.
  • Desire to learn, grow, and be mentored as a leader.
  • Have a servant's heart and be willing to do whatever it takes to help the church grow and minister to people.
