Spending time with students and consistently pointing them to Christ must always remain a priority. An equal priority, though, is developing and directing a dynamic team of volunteers and ministry partners who can multiply the relational impact of the ministry. Responsibilities will focus on continuing to build momentum and fostering an environment of spiritual growth for junior high and high school students, a ministry area that is currently thriving.

Responsibilities:

ü  Exercise appropriate leadership within the church as a whole, and participate in church-wide events and ministry opportunities.

ü  Regularly attend, participate, and provide leadership for all youth ministry programming.

ü  Engage, disciple, follow-up and build relationships with students, both within and beyond the context of regular ministry programming and activities.

ü  Oversee the junior high and high school life group ministry.

  • Recruit, train, equip, oversee, and follow-up regularly with volunteer leaders.
  • Research, vet, and choose curriculum and scope and sequence of study. If necessary, adapt, customize, or create curriculum to meet group needs.

ü  Assist the PoSM in providing resources, training, and support for parents.

ü  Teach regularly in various settings (large group and small group).

ü  Serve as a leader for seasonal ministry events, retreats, and camps.

ü  Oversee student ministry social media presence.
