We have an incredible opportunity for the right person to come in, learn and lead our student ministries! CBC is an established, healthy church with a solid youth ministry in place. The leader of our youth ministry will get to work with an amazing ministry staff, a youth administrator, a solid core of 18 volunteer youth leaders, and have a ton of fun creating, collaborating and more!



Our Youth Pastor will passionately and intentionally serve the needs of our students and their families as the spiritual overseer and lead visionary for the student ministries, grades 6th through 12th, of Country Bible Church. Our Youth Pastor is responsible for following the leadership of the Spirit of God as they care for the students and leaders of Country Bible Church and our community. Our Youth Pastor is responsible for carrying out the core values and existence of Country Bible Church in accord with our Senior Pastor and Elders. 




  • Invest substantial time in a relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Invest substantial time in developing as a leader, pastor, and person
  • Seek God’s Word and God’s leading for the student ministries of Country Bible Church
  • Cast and carry out the existence and core values of Country Bible Church in your area of ministry; develop strategies to see these lived out
  • Provide clear vision and leadership so that youth staff and volunteers can effectively lead alongside you within your area of ministry
  • Provide vision and ultimate oversight of all worship experiences
  • Get the right people in the right positions to carry out the existence and core values of Country Bible Church within our student ministries
  • Develop relationships with key community and church leaders
  • Inspire, influence and challenge the spiritual well-being of the youth ministry so that we are prepared to glorify God in our public and private lives – both corporately as well as individually
  • Give overall oversight and direction to all youth staff and volunteers
  • Invest in developing ministry leaders to come along side me in your specific area of ministry
  • Prepare for weekly meetings (staff development, operations, and others as requested
  • Lead and/or delegate the leading of all youth staff and volunteer meetings
  • Prepare for and attend all Lead Team (Elder’s) meetings, held monthly
  • Plan, prepare for, coordinate, and facilitate monthly staff and volunteer meetings for your area of ministry
  • Plan for an annual retreat within your ministry for the purposes of encouragement, community, equipping, and casting future vision
  • Look for regular opportunities to do life and ministry with youth staff volunteers
  • Prepare for and participate in annual performance reviews in conjunction with our Executive Pastor
  • Actively participate in Country Bible Church events and activities
  • Manage, maintain, and order all supplies necessary for youth ministries
  • Meet weekly with Executive Pastor
  • Meet with Lead Pastor as necessary and needed


  • Preach and teach both depth and breadth for life change at Youth Group
    • Depth – Doctrinally rich, Gospel-centered, authentic and encouraging
    • Breadth – age-specific, relational, and relevant
  • Opportunity to serve as part of our weekend Celebration Service teaching team in conjunction with our primary teaching, Senior Pastor
  • Arrange for additional communicators as necessary /needed for the health and growth of the student ministries
  • Give direction to and participate in the creative process as it relates to Sunday morning as requested by our Worship Pastor
  • Prayerfully prepare an annual teaching calendar specific to your ministry



  • Work with and lead the existing staff and youth ministry volunteers in developing a phenomenal culture of student ministries within Country Bible Church – we want our youth to WANT to be here!
  • Develop an effective and reproducible strategy for ministry-wide discipleship, walking with students as they grow in knowledge of the Bible, faith in God, relationship with Jesus Christ, and love for the local church
  • Dream, plan, coordinate, promote, implement, and evaluate all areas consistent with the student ministries of Country Bible Church in order to fulfill our existence and core values.
  • Prayerfully and ever-intentionally recruit and raise up volunteers for the student ministries
  • Develop an annual calendar that is clear and concise and geared toward fulfilling the existence and core values of Country Bible Church and the vision of the student ministries (weekly sermon series, events, activities, trainings, etc.)
  • You are responsible for the direct vision, oversight, and leadership of the student ministries programs, including but not limited to: youth group on Wednesday night(s), discipleship, LifeGroups, mission trips, student worship, middle school & high school campus ministry, camps, retreats, game nights, personal discipleship, pastoral care, and any other program(s) that will help in accomplishing the existence and core values of Country Bible Church within the student ministries
  • Partner with the Equip Pastor in ministering to families as well as develop a student ministries philosophy that partners with parents to equip and assist them in the spiritual training of their students by providing resources, education, and training events
  • Meet with parents as needed, or requested, to give biblical counsel and encouragement with issues they may be facing pertaining to their student(s)
  • Lead students to develop a missional lifestyle by engaging their community – individually, corporately, and with families – through community service and outreach events in both the student ministry and the Geyer Springs church body
  • Partner with the Equip Pastor in an effort to develop LifeGroups specific to the demographics of our student ministries, grades 6ththrough 12th, and raising up qualified leaders and facilitators (both students or peer and adult leaders)
  • Work closely with our Executive Pastor to create, manage and administer all budgets associated with the student ministries and communicate financial needs of the student ministries to the Executive Pastor on a timely basis for consideration in the church budget
  • Work with the Pastoral Team in developing our MissionCatalyst initiative – a 2-year residency program, specific to your area of ministry that will have a direct impact on each department of Country Bible Church
  • Stay informed on Student Ministry methods, programs, and administration by attending conferences and conventions, continued professional development in cooperation with the Executive Pastor and your ministry team
  • Perform ministerial duties as needed and assigned as part of our Country Bible Church staff - ensure ministerial and pastoral care needs are met in the student ministries with our students, families, leaders, and volunteers
  • Maintain consistent and appropriate office hours, communicating your work-hour “where-abouts” to the administrative team (this is all about accountability)
  • Develop a maintain a campus presence at Blair High School & Otte Middle School
  • Plan to attend school and community functions consistent with the students of our student ministries, i.e., sporting events, concerts, ceremonies, etc.




  • Is a 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9 leader
  • A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Model a life passionate for Jesus Christ and his Kingdom
  • Model a heart committed to sharing the Good News of Jesus and his love with a lost world in making disciples

  • Maintain God-ordained priorities in your life by putting Jesus Christ first, your spouse second, your family third, and the ministry fourth
  • Demonstrate a deep love for people and model discipleship by teaching and leading in the context of God-honoring relationships
  • Honor the tithe by giving of your income to the ministry of Country Bible Church
  • Be loyal to the existence, values, and staff of Country Bible Church and always seek to protect the unity of the church
  • Invest and invite the lost to know Jesus and come to Country Bible Church


  • Quality experience leading in or serving on a youth staff at a church of 1,000+ (desired, but not required)
  • Preference given to individuals with 1-2 years leading a successful, growing student ministry
  • Success in leading a student ministry of 100+ youth in average weekly attendance (strongly desired, but not required)
  • Experience in leading more than 15 ministry staff and key volunteers (strongly desired, but not required)
  • Preference will be given to a leader with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled as a graduating-Senior from an accredited University; some formal ministry education is desired, but not essential
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and investigation
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be 18 years or older and eligible for full-time (exempt) employment
  • Strong abilities with experience preaching/teaching at weekend services (not primary, but an added bonus)
  • A working knowledge of leadership in musical worship (desired, but not required)
  • Strong desire and ability to work in a “team” approach to ministry; not a place where silos are established based on individualministries, but true teamwork


  • The Youth Pastor works directly under the Executive Pastor and receives an annual performance evaluation. Compensation is reviewed annually.
