Job Description:


The purpose of the Student Young Adult Pastor position is to prayerfully build and lead a team that partners with parents to guide their students along a growth path that leads them to their own relationship with Jesus Christ. 


Role and Responsibility 

  • Develop and equip leaders
  • Encourage, empower, equip the parents and volunteers to do the work of the ministry
  • Collaborate with the other staff to provide direction to the ministry
  • Effectively communicate with staff, volunteers, and parents
  • Recruit, retain, and develop the student ministry volunteer
  • Protect the unity of the church
  • Support the leadership of the church and support the mission and vision of our church
  • Manage volunteer schedule
  • Report weekly student ministry number
  • Create and update the Volunteer Handbook for the Next Gen ministry area
Qualifications and Education Requirements 

  • Active Membership at The Brook
  • A history of demonstrating spiritual and emotional maturity to manage the pressures of church work with proper judgement and discretion
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in Student Ministry
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage a changing workload
