Christ Community Church is a non-denominational church in Taunton, MA 45 min south of Boston. Our church is multi-generational and multicultural. We have a solid balance of non/ new believers to long time believers attending our three worship services each weekend. Our heart is to reach the world around us with the Gospel and to raise up disciples who do the same. Our worship style is contemporary to modern. Our heart for worship is to lead people to the throne of God each week in authentic worship that moves our heart toward God. We have a great foundation of staff and volunteers in the worship community and believe that God has that right person in mind to join in with what He is already doing and build for the future.


About the Position:

The Worship Arts Pastor will serve Christ Community Church (CCC) by leading and aligning worship arts ministries to accomplish CCC’s mission that includes authentic and gospel centered worship and celebration. By cultivating a Bible-based, life-giving, passionate, and skillful culture of music and worship.

The Worship Arts Pastor is the “producer” of all worship/celebration services and special programs and will work with the Lead Pastor in setting the theme and overall direction.  The Worship Arts Pastor will build teams and oversee and coordinate all the details that the services encompass. 

The Worship Arts Pastor is a visionary who is creative in leading people to God, communicates a direction that is inspirational in the pursuit of our mission, and serves not solely as a musical or performing arts director but also as an equipping shepherd to the people who serve in the worship arts/celebration ministry.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced worship pastor who has the ability to develop vocalists, musicians and teams. They will demonstrate a clear calling to ministry, a proven track record of proficiency in vocals and guitar and/or keys, and experience developing and leading teams.


Who We Are Searching For / Qualifications:

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Worship Arts Pastor:


Education: A bacholer's degree or higher in related studies is preferred but not required.  



  • Skilled, vocal, and instrumental direction, training,and team building.

  • In alignment with “What We Believe”

  • Skilled in organization, administration, leader development, and interpersonal relationships.

  • A minimum of 3 years experience leading a worship ministry with proven success in leading yourself and others well.

  • Skilled in the use of technology in worship and in working with our A/V Technical Director in the creative use of sound, lighting, and video.

  • Ability to incorporate other art forms as needed to enhance the worship/celebration experience.

  • Experience in leading multiple staff members and volunteers

  • An equipping shepherd as well as a trained and skilled musician. 
  • A heart for the spiritual formation of those in the church family and the worship community.

  • Relational skills and an enthusiastic presence for leading a large church in worship.

  • Genuine joy and enthusiasm concerning the gospel.

  • Proven experience building volunteer teams.

  • Grow / mentor volunteers.

  • Self aware and able to speak the truth in love

  • Understanding and ability to work with and improve systems and processes within the Management Team as well as the Worship Arts Department.


Essential Functions:

  • Develops and maintains the structures and systems of the Worship Team

  • Oversees and empowers the CCC Worship Leadership Team to implement the vision for worship.

  • Utilizes Planning Center to create worship sets and communicate with leaders and volunteers

  • Oversees scheduling of Worship Team volunteers

General Responsibilities:

  • Participate in weekly staff meetings

  • Oversee worship at all weekend gatherings, lead 1 -2 times per month, facilitate all worship functions at Christ Community Church (Conferences, retreats, worship nights)

  • Discipling and caring for the worship community, both organically and systematically

  • Develop teams and train leaders in all areas of the worship ministry


Full time: 45+ hours per week
