IT Specialist – Shared Services
Full Time position with the following benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance; Flexible Spending Account, Paid Holidays, Sick Days, Personal Time and Vacation. This position will have office hours which may include days and evening. “On
call” hours in the evening and on weekends/ holidays are also required. The position is based in the Wexford Campus and will be expected to travel between campuses as tasks require.
Job Description: This individual will serve as the initial point of contact for North Way staff and volunteers in the technical support area. General responsibilities will include:
- Respond to incoming support calls and emails
- Open/Work/Close Help Desk Tickets
- Desktop/Laptop Support
- Install/Configure Windows 7/8/10
- Ability to address issues on both PC and Mac Workstations
- Troubleshoot/Remediate Hardware and Software Issues
- Troubleshoot/Resolve Network Issues
- Setup and Maintain Network Devices (Firewalls, Switches, Wireless Access Points, Printers, etc.)
- Basic Server Support
- Backup routines
- Create/Disable User Accounts and User Mailboxes; Reset Passwords
- Reconciliation of Customer Assets
- Maintain an accurate record of application licenses
- Update and Maintain custom web applications
- Development projects as needed
Qualifications: Bachelors’ degree in information technology systems, computer science or related field; or an Associate’s degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related
field and two (2) years of experience in information technology systems or related area; or a High School diploma with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in information technology systems or related area. Bachelors’ degree preferred. Candidate must
have experience/ knowledge in both PC and MAC environments; Minimum of one year’s work experience with computer support, maintenance and troubleshooting; Minimum of one year’s experience with networking equipment and troubleshooting; Experience programming
in C# a definite plus; Must have strong personal initiative, be able to work independently and on a team; Have the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and determine priorities in a fast-paced environment; Must have excellent people skills
and the ability to communicate effectively; Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
