Summary: The Student Pastor oversees and manages all aspects of the
Student Ministry to lead it by carrying out the mission and vision of NorthWood
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may
Direct Oversight of the Ministry:
Encourage and equip parents to be the primary disciplers of their children.
Provide leadership, training and encouragement to adult volunteers to carry out the
work of ministry.
Plan, organize, and execute excellent and effective events for Student ministry. This
includes weekly gatherings as well as large events such as camps, retreats, and Disciple
Build relationships with local schools to be a resource to them in any way possible.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret ministry documents. Ability to
respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to
communicate appropriately with individuals from other cultures and
Basic skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Certificates and Licenses:
Ministry License or Ordination required.
Provide supervision to administrative staff, volunteers, and other leaders in
the Student Ministry.
