Job Description:


Oversees tech department and sets standards and develops systems to support the technical needs of all campuses. Provides leadership and management to paid staff and trains and develops volunteers.



  • Oversees production teams at Eden Prairie campus including broadcasting, lighting, audio and stage manager teams and provides direction, training and support for tech positions at multi-sites
  • Recruiting, developing and maintaining volunteer stage managers, video and graphics teams and other special teams
  • Decides and implements equipment standards and processes with Creative Arts Pastor and Worship Director and maintains a high level of excellence in production across all campuses
  • Manages projects and day-to-day work schedules of central tech staff
  • Develops and maintains a healthy, positive, proactive mentality among tech staff and volunteers
  • Oversees volunteer development and management including volunteer on-boarding process, training, and scheduling
  • Oversees tech arts budget
  • Project manages set design and construction
  • Continually develops and implements new production elements and technology
  • Works with IT staff for quality control and execution of online live streaming for services and special events

  • Professional level ability and knowledge of production equipment and operation including:
  • Digital audio consoles and IEM systems
  • LED lighting and usage including theatrical and intelligent lighting for video and DMX programming
  • Experience and knowledge of multi-venue production including video usage and production staff for multiple locations


Working Conditions/ Physical Demands

  • Schedule includes working evenings, weekend, and extended hours as required by ministry and events as needed. This includes Christmas Eve, Christmas Concert and Easter. Typical hours will be split between weekdays and the weekends/evenings.
  • Able to set up and take down production equipment, including but not limited to, cameras, tripods, lights, sandbags, etc. Able to lift 50+ pounds as necessary for the production equipment.
