About the Organization:
The church began as a plant of Hill Country Bible Church in Austin, which started a major movement of faith in the City of Austin in 1985. Its goal was to saturate the greater Austin area with the Gospel through church planting and working in conjunction
with a local association of like-minded churches. Hence, the Association of Hill Country Churches birthed a church plant training center that has currently multiplied over 26 churches in the Austin metroplex, including 3 multisites.
Pastor Peter Horn who once led the church training center and small groups ministry at HCBC Austin, has faithfully stewarded the ministry of Hill Country Bible Church in Leander as its Senior Pastor, since its inception in 2007.
Today, God continues to extend His faithfulness, favor, and grace to HCBC Leander, as he provides opportunities to reach every man, woman, and child with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ. With a rich and vibrant history in its past, the body of
believers of HCBC Leander consider themselves blessed to follow a 30-year vision of growth and impact in the Austin metroplex.

About the Position:
The Children’s Minister will ensure that every child experiences the love of God and learns to follow Him by engagement in relevant, age appropriate and biblical programming. The Children’s Ministry Director will train, organize and empower leaders to work
toward life-change in every child in the community bordering the reach of HCBC Leander. This position will serve as a primary leader and communicator of the ministry, and therefore, be responsible for casting vision, raising up leadership, and sustaining a
high quality program. While all ministries at HCBC Leander function within the framework of the larger church vision, the Children’s Ministry Director will seek to creatively implement that vision in a strategic, relevant and effective manner within the Children’s
Success in this role will be determined by:
- An ability to lead leaders
- A keen skill for attracting, training and connecting leaders and building a sustainable, long term system for volunteer engagement.
- Growth in parent involvement in the Children's Ministry.

Although education is not a predetermining factor for the selection of the Children’s Ministry Director, it is desired that they have a 4-year undergraduate degree in a related field.
Experience & Skills
The successful candidate will have solid history of leading and growing a children’s ministry, with a proven track record of doing so in a 500+ member church setting. They will have experience managing teams and building leaders with a high degree of innovation,
development, and sustainable implementation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate dependability and effectiveness by meeting and achieve all desired goals and expectations of the role. This individual will also be a committed team player and proven collaborator
with an authenticity and passion for the next generation that exudes beyond their realm of responsibility.
