Parkland Site Youth Associate Job Description

Rainier View Christian Church is a community-oriented church where any of our Northwest neighbors can come as they are, and together experience God's love and discover His purpose for our lives. We are a multi-site church, currently meeting in two sites, with 1200 average attendance divided almost equally between the two sites. The Student Ministries Department provides age appropriate environments and bridge events to love and introduce Middle School and High School students to Jesus, and build them into fully-devoted followers of Jesus. A fully-devoted follower of Jesus is someone who demonstrates the character of Jesus, lives out the ministry of Jesus, and embraces the truth of Jesus.


Title: Parkland Youth Associate

Department: Student Ministries

Supervisors: Student Ministries Director and Parkland Site Pastor


  • Implement environments, programs, bridge events and ministry strategy as part of the Student Ministries Team
  • Implement the strategy and mission of the Student Ministries
  • Assist & Lead in Student Ministries Environments
  • Recruit, develop, and support volunteer leaders
  • Preach & teach as scheduled in weekly Connect environments
  • Participate in evaluation and assessment of Student Ministries environments and their effectiveness
  • Assist & Lead in Student Ministries Retreats, Camps, and Events
  • Be an active participant in Student Ministries Development through Sermon Planning, D-Group Lesson Writing, Student Leader Development, and Long Range Planning
  • Lead through a team, primarily volunteers
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Completed or close to completing Ministry Degree from an Accredited Christian College or University
  • Immersed Follower of Christ pursuing spiritual maturity through a consistent walk of faith
  • Alignment with RVCC doctrine, mission, values, philosophy, and ministry structure


  • Sense of humor
  • Self-starter, take initiative
  • Coachable
  • Able to work on a team
  • Have a passion and calling to serve Christ through serving students, families and leaders

Hours: 3/4 Time, 30-35 hours per week

Compensation: Commensurate with Experience
