The Campus Way, a youth non-profit, campus ministry launched in 2006 at Kettle Moraine High School with 4 students and a director. Over the next few years Campus Way grew to having 8 part time youth ministry staff leading a local youth ministries at 8 local
middle and high schools. In addtition to weekly ministry, we also held two camps and retreats a year where where we would go away for a weekend of worship, preaching, small groups and plenty of fun. During a 10 year season of the minisry there were well
over 150 decisions for Christ. Praise be to God!
In December of 2009, Jay Cavaiani, the director of Campus Way, with a small team, launched Great Mission Church at Wales Elementary school. After about 18 months in the school the church was able to rent 6000 sq. ft. in Wales, Wisconsin. In 2014, the church
took over another 3000 Sq. Ft. and converted it into a gym. At that time the church changed its name to Brandybrook Christian Church. The Church then attempted to purchase the building that it was renting and was unable to work out an agreement with the
owner. In December of 2015 the Church was able to locate a potential new home in Genesee Depot which included a total of 4 buildings including the local post office, a cafe, craft barn and much more. We were thankful that this purchase finally went through
in September of 2016. For the next year the church invested significanty into the the property and grounds and in September of 2017 we were able to open our doors to the community. The complex the church purchased was called Depot Crossing. The church is
beautifully remodeled into a barn and pallet board motif and offers about 12,000 sq. ft. and a sanctuary that seats 157. When the church launched in its new home the name was changed to Crossing Community Church. The name fits with the name of the complex,
the rail road crossing adjacent to the property, and the cross of Christ. Historically, the church had Pastor Jay and a worship leader and was a church of about 50 people with average weekly attendance of 30. Since September of 2017 the church has grown
to a church of about 150 with average attendance of over 100. Praise be to God! We currently have Jay Cavaiani as the Lead Pastor, a full time executive pastor and a worship and childrens pastor. There are many opportunities to be used by God in this exciting
During the last two years of purchasing and remodeling the property Pastor Jay was pretty stretched as he also generaled the construction process. Due to that, Campus Way has become currently a one group ministry with about 15 students attending from througout
our county. With the growth of the church it is now time to offer someone the special opportunity to lead the ministry of the Campus Way. The Campus Way is independent of, but yet connected to the church. The Campus Way is the only youth ministry at the
church, but it does minister too and has the additional vision to impact more students who are unchurched and don't attend our church. This is done through developing student leadership at local schools.
Campus Way is a non-profit 501C3 youth ministry with four aspects to the ministry.
1. Leading a weekly youth meeting in the evening, historically our ministry meets on Monday evenings.
2. Developing student leaders who we train and encourage to lead a bible study or small group with a presence at their local middle or high school.
3. Organizing and leading a weekend winter retreat and summer camp to help youth come to faith or grow in their faith in Christ.
4. Directing the Non-profit aspect of the ministry which includes leading a board and fundraising events to help support the ministry.
In addition, the Campus Way Director/Youth Pastor will also be the youth pastor at the church. This does not necessarily mean an additional youth meeting, but would mean building additional relationships with and care ministry to the youth of the church.
This position can be part time to full time. It hitorically has been and definitely has the ability to be a full time position. The postiion will also include administrative responsibilities and event planning which will help develop the giving to receive
a market salary. The position has historically been full time with a director salary of $60,000. Current funding would need to be increased in order for that salary to be received.
We look forward to reviewing your interest. We do think this position is likely to be locally filled versus an out of state hire. In addition, our desire would be you would make the effort to come see the church prior to receiving an interview. We will
however review your informaiton and get back to you with our respsective interest. It is then, if common interest is made we would encourage your visit to church as part of the interview process.
