LifePoint Church was founded with approximately 14 people on March 12, 1989.

In 1991, LifePoint bought land at Hedgcoxe and Preston Meadow Road in Plano with the dream of building their first worship and educational space.  They moved into their facilities in 1993 and the church continued to grow. Over the years, they have gone through several building campaigns and have added a new worship center, educational space, and a cutting-edge children’s’ facility.

Today, under the leadership of Pastor George Feiser and a dedicated, passionate staff, LifePoint continues to grow and reach out to the communities surrounding them. With every new family joining the church there comes new challenges, new needs to be met and by the grace of God, those challenges are being met through various ministries and groups in the church.

LifePoint Church strives to be relational, adaptable, loyal and transparent. They are an accepting, approachable church that is seeker sensitive, with authentic, applicable and biblical messages.

About the Position:

The Worship Pastor will serve LifePoint Church (LPC) by leading & aligning worship ministries to accomplish LifePoint's vision and mission of Worship/Celebration. 

The worship pastor is the “producer” of the worship/celebration services and special programs.  Although the senior pastor is the “director” in terms of setting the theme and overall direction, the worship pastor will oversee and coordinate all the details that the services encompass. 

The worship pastor is a visionary who is creative in leading people to God, communicates a direction in a way that inspires those around him to join in the pursuit of that vision, and serves not solely as a musical or performing arts director but also as a shepherd to the people who serve in the worship/celebration ministry.


What We Are Searching For / Qualifications:

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Worship Pastor:

Education - A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.  


  • Skilled in choral, vocal, and instrumental direction and training.
  • Skilled in organization, administration, leader development, and interpersonal relationships.
  • Skilled in the use of technology in worship and in the use of sound, lighting, and video.
  • Ability to incorporate other art forms as needed to enhance the worship/celebration experience.

Personal Characteristics:

  • A pastor/shepherd as well as a skilled trained musician.  
  • A heart for the spiritual formation of those in the church family and the worship ministry.
  • Relational skills and an enthusiastic presence for leading a large church in worship.
  • A team player with a positive attitude.
  • Seamless integration.
  • Ability to grow a team.
  • Grow / mentor volunteers.
  • Level of persuasiveness.
  • Thick skinned.
  • Someone who wants to belong.
  • Understanding and ability to work with and improve systems and processes within department.
