Job Title: Worship Leader

Reports to: Lead Pastor

Full Time/Salaried

Our church exists to Invite people to Christ; to Incorporate them into the Body of Christ so they might experience spiritual Transformation, for the ultimate task of being Sent as a Disciple of Jesus Christ, equipped to follow God’s call to go back into the world as an agent of God’s work. The primary goal of this position must always be to foster and nurture these four core processes at Hillspring Church.


Job Summary:

To serve God and the Hillspring community by developing, coordinating and administering a comprehensive and expanding worship ministry by providing leadership to volunteers involved in ministry that foster a healthy discipleship, good communication and a strong sense of community among the worship leadership (musicians, technicians, visual arts, drama team and volunteers).


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead music/facilitate authentic participation in weekend worship gatherings and seasonal celebrations/holidays and all areas of ministry as needed

  • Work with the Lead Pastor and Leadership Team in planning worship ensuring worship reflects mission and vision of Hillspring (i.e. selecting songs, envisioning and planning worship experiences, scheduling/producing special music and coordinating other aspects of worship as needed)

  • Train and schedule audio/visual technicians for Sunday worship and events outside of worship,

  • Maintain worship equipment and inventory of worship area

  • Coordinate stage set up/tear down

  • Plan and schedule/assist with children’s involvement in worship

  • Identify, interview potential team members; train and schedule audio/visual

    technicians for Sunday worship and events outside of worship

  • Provide required technical support to pastors, staff and worship team

  • Develop and implement an annual ministry plan and worship budget

  • Attend required staff meetings endeavoring to work closely with other staff


  • Provide spiritual support during times of need, e.g., loss of family

    member/friends, hospital visits

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or 3-5 years of hands-on experience; willingness to work effectively with various teams and a strong desire to serve God through the local church

  • Experience with Planning Center, ProPresenter, Mac/PC based systems, Aviom, basic sound tech function and set up

  • Basic understanding of technical and multimedia production

  • Willingness to serve outside the Hillspring community with other worship leaders
