Covenant Community Fellowship is looking for a full time teaching/preaching associate pastor who is approximately 30 to 35 years of age with a minimum of five years of preaching experience. He must be an engaging teacher/communicator gifted to connect with the young adult community. This individual must be confident in God’s call upon his life, able to lead and shows passion for reaching people for Christ.



The primary responsibility of the Teaching/Preaching Associate Pastor is to, along with the Lead Pastor and Elders, carry out the mission and the vision of the church. The following responsibilities are specific to the Teaching/Preaching Associate Pastor:

  • Preaching and teaching the Word of God with excellent communication skills with the expectation of preaching 2-3 times a month
  • Offers teaching that emphasizes the application of the Word of God to issues of the contemporary world
  • Functions as a leadership team member caring for the effectiveness of each member working closely with the Lead Pastor and the Elder Team to provide leadership for the church
  • As part of the Pastoral Team, shepherds the congregation biblically, emotionally, and spiritually to enhance individual spiritual maturity and unity within the body of the church
  • Works actively to develop, support and encourage effective young adult lay leadership
  • Involved in developing, writing and implementing paths of discipleship for new and mature believers



1. The candidate must have a high view of Scripture:

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God

              o   It is without error in the original manuscript

              o   It contains the total revelation of God to man

              o   It is sufficient for counseling, training, teaching, and equipping followers of Christ

2. The primary qualifications for the position of Teaching/Preaching Associate Pastor are those found in Scripture for teachers or elders. (1 Tim. 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9)

3. Is in agreement with the “Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective”

4. Prefer a seminary graduate (MDiv or equivalent)

5. Has a minimum of 5 years of pastoral service including preaching

6. Models the servant attitude of Christ with a teachable spirit



Covenant Community Fellowship, located in Lansdale PA, is a community church planted as a daughter church of the Franconia Mennonite congregation in 1986. Covenant Community Fellowship is an Elder led congregation in the Mennonite denomination and is a member of the Franconia Mennonite Conference. The worship style is contemporary with a blend of hymns. Our ministry purpose is to lead souls to Christ through proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, faithfully teaching the Word of God as we live in authentic caring community.  




The position is salaried with benefits and will be dependent on the experience and qualifications of the candidate to be hired. A general financial package will be explained within an interview invitation. A specific financial package will be made available contingent upon the extension of an employment invitation to the candidate.
